CONTAINERS DEDICATED TO THYRISTOR PANELS FOR BERRI PROJECT
OBJECTIVES
The activity is part of the project called “PKG-01 Expand Abu Ali Crude & KGP Gas Facilities” relating to the Berri field. Trillini Engineering was responsible for the multidisciplinary construction design of three prefabricated modular structures for the containment of thyristor panels and transformers. The containers were designed to be entirely built and equipped with all the systems and then transported by land and installed in the plant. The modular architecture considered the maximum transport dimensions and the limits related to lifting activities. The materials were selected to be suitable for withstanding typical offshore environmental conditions. To complete the structures, service platforms for personnel and equipment access and a removable platform for extracting the transformers from the containers were designed.

MAIN ACTIVITIES
Trillini Engineering was entrusted with the following design activities:
- Construction design of the main and secondary structures of the three containers and the external service platforms
- Design of the HVAC system, including power and control
- Lighting, small power and earthing systems
- Passive fire protection
- Fire and gas detection
- BIM modelling with Tekla Structures of the steel structures
- BIM modelling with Autodesk Revit of the systems and architectural elements
- Extraction of the modelled quantities directly from the 3D models
- Production of shop drawings for steel structures
- Datasheets
- Project Engineering Management for all disciplines involved in the project: Structural, Architectural, HVAC, E&I, F&G
